Evolving Standards in Digital Cultural Heritage – Developing a IIIF 3D Technical Specification

Abstract IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) is a collection of open web standards, broadly used for presenting and annotating high resolution images audiovisual content, adopted by hundreds GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) organisations worldwide, permit the reuse recombination digital assets across traditional institutional boundaries. While these standards have been successful 2D AV (Audio/Video) data, there growing interest in how they might be applied to 3D content.
